Our Story

Every thread should have a reason.

That's where the name comes from. I didn't want to build a brand around putting another graphic on a shirt. Every piece should do something, start a conversation, encourage someone on a hard day, or just quietly remind you of what you believe.

My faith has become one of the most important parts of my life, especially in seasons when I needed something bigger than myself to hold onto. But when I went looking for clothing that reflected that, I kept finding the same two options: loud, in-your-face "Christian merch," or nothing stylish enough I'd actually want to wear. I wanted something different, pieces you'd choose because you love the design first, that also happen to carry what you believe. Something you could wear to class, the gym, coffee, church, or just an ordinary day, and it would simply fit.

This isn't meant to look like traditional Christian merch, and it isn't made for one type of person. Some of you are deeply rooted in your faith. Some are rebuilding it. Some just connect with a message on a piece, and that's enough. There's room here for all of it.

Nothing goes on a design just because it's Christian. Every message, typeface, color, and placement gets thought through, including how it actually looks and feels once it's worn, not just how it looks on a screen. I'm building this around the pieces I'd genuinely want to wear myself: thoughtful, a little different, meaningful without needing to shout.

My hope is that when you choose something from Thread & Cause, it becomes more than one more thing sitting in your closet. It becomes a small way of carrying what you believe with you.
